Aren’t these just great interviews and reading them now makes them all the more interesting for what has come to pass (book, albums etc). On his Jag, probably the original intention was parity with US- made Jags, rather than the made in Mexico etc. ones (not that there’s anything wrong with non-US ones). However there’s probably been mission drift at Fender as the JM sig is significantly more expensive than the standard US ones, including the new American Professional Jag which adopts the 4-way pickup switching. And with the value of £ vs $ the price has soared to over £2K

It really isn’t. Does he just not know? Brand new standard white Jag from dawsons.co.uk is £729.99 His signature model is £1476.99 Even the Kurt Cobain signature jag is only around a grand. You can literally buy two normal jags and have change for the price of the Marr signature model jag. Maybe someone at Fender’s told him porkies.
